Post-operative care is an essential part of the service Dr. Felicity Adams provides.
Most patients experience a smooth and straightforward surgery and recovery. However, the post-operative period can sometimes feel overwhelming. Managing your wound, the dressings, stitches, drains, and understanding which activities you can safely resume can vary based on the procedure you’ve had.
Dr. Adams will discuss her post-operative care services during your initial consultation, ensuring you understand the full support provided throughout your recovery. Every patient is seen by Dr. Adams or a member of her team following surgery and your post-operative consultation will be scheduled at the time you book your surgery and typically takes place between 3 days and 4 weeks, depending on the type of surgery performed.
With Dr. Adams and her dedicated team, you will receive the highest standard of care. Dr. Adams offers a complete in-house support team including a Breast Physician, Breast Cancer Nurse, and Wound Care Nurse. Our team provides specialized post-operative care to ensure your recovery is as smooth and stress-free as possible. We focus on promoting healing and minimizing scarring, supporting you at every step for the best possible outcome after surgery. With expert attention to wound management, we ensure that each patient receives the highest level of care for the best possible outcome.
Post Operative Instructions
Dr. Adams performs a variety of surgeries, and post-operative care is tailored to each specific procedure. If a post-operative complication arises, it is typically minor and can be managed quickly and effectively. To help you plan and manage your recovery with ease, a post-operative care reference sheet will be provided during your initial consultation.
